This summer I returned to oil painting for most of my plein air and studio work. I've really enjoyed working again with the brush. Here is some of my most recent work. There are also small oil paintings on the Daily Painting Project page. See the sidebar for link. A full portfolio can be seen on my website: Kathleen Daughan Fine Art
Richmond Island 2
Oil on canvas, 6x6
Painted at Two Lights State Park, Cape Elizabeth, Maine
These paintings are done on wood panels or canvas with deep profiles. The wood panels are painted on the sides and on the canvas pieces the painting extends around the sides. They can be hung as is or you can have them framed. See framing options below. See my website for more information: http://www.kathleendaughan.com/
The Maine landscape is my primary studio so long as the weather allows. When it doesn't I enjoy painting still life and memory pieces in my studio at Lucid Stage, 29 Baxter Blvd, Portland, Maine. I work in oil, soft pastel, watercolor and acrylic depending on the location and the weather. I am also a paper maker and sometimes work with paper pulp as a medium. I am a member of the executive board of Pastel Painters of Maine and organize their plein air paintouts.
